Troop Gateway Project

Posted by cmizelle on Jul 30 2014 - 7:21pm

Attention all Scouts:
This Thursday the 31st, starting at 1:30pm,  we will be building a gateway that will be used for summer camp, camporees, and formal functions throughout the year. We will be building this at James Matthew’s house, which is located at 36 Mount Hope Road. Pizza and drinks will be provided.
We will be writing each scouts name on the Gateway structure.
Starting at 4:00pm, we will be making decorations, props and costumes for camp. (Only if the Gateway is done.)
Max Samuels will have a sample and explain how to build light saber/ walking sticks with removable blades, a belt clip, and a brightly colored duct tape blade for those that are interested. This project is to be built at home.
James Matthews will be teaching a class on how to make a really simple but amazingly good Jedi or Sith Costume with a Cape and Hood! Simply bring 2 blankets that are of the colors you want,  2 binder clips, a light saber, and clothing that is of the color you want the costume.
In addition, we will have an open workshop, with power tools, operated by adults. Scouts are invited to make decorations for camp.
If there are any questions, call or text me at 862 812-5562.
Thank you.
Max Samuels
